The shrine is unique because of its huge “Shishiden” (lion hall), which has more impact than the main hall. Since lion dances were popular in the area, the shrine and the main hall were newly built as a lion to ward off evil spirits. Many people visit the shrine to pray for academic improvement, employment, entrance examinations, or company growth, as the lion's large mouth is said to call for victory, drink away evil spirits, and bring luck in business. It is recommended to visit the shrine until around 9:00 a.m., as there are fewer visitors and the shrine is more spacious and relaxing.
