One of Osaka's leading shopping streets consists of more than 150 stores along an arcade that stretches about 1 km east and west of Sakaisuji. It has developed as an electric town since ancient times, but now there are stores selling various otaku items such as manga, anime, games, figures, trading cards, etc. The cosplay event held every May, commonly known as "Stoffes", is one of the largest cosplay festivals in Japan.
