Every product sold in the store is handcrafted one by one by artisans. One unique charm of handmade products is that even the same product has slightly different shapes and colors, each with its own unique character. There are also products made by molding real foods, and I was amazed by their intricate finishing.
Furthermore, the craftsmen carefully craft the products and the staff package them with heartfelt care, making me feel that every item is filled with a lot of care and affection.
During the hands-on experience, you can try making seasonal food samples, including Osaka specialties like takoyaki and sushi. The materials and processes for the experience are meticulously crafted by artisans, ensuring that even beginners can achieve a realistic finish. Therefore, anyone from children to adults can easily enjoy it.
When I actually tried making takoyaki, it was much easier than I had imagined. From coloring the takoyaki to drawing the ingredients, the staff carefully taught us, so by following instructions, we were able to complete food samples that looked just like the real thing.
Since takoyaki making can be experienced from age three, I felt it was an attractive program that families with small children could participate in with peace of mind.
Through this experience, I learned that food samples are not just models, but a culture filled with artisans' skills, dedication, and the unique charm of Japanese craftsmanship. By actually experiencing the production, I was able to feel their sophistication and depth more closely, and my perspective on food samples changed significantly.
When you visit Osaka, be sure not only to see the exhibitions but also to participate in the hands-on workshops. While immersing yourself in Japanese culture, you can more deeply appreciate the appeal of food samples.
